2. Guided walk services

Horizon Forge Panel provides guided walking tours at and around sacred sites in the Kyoto area. All walks are subject to availability and are confirmed individually by arrangement through the contact form or by email.

By requesting a walk, you acknowledge the following:

  Walks take place outdoors and may be affected by weather. Horizon Forge Panel reserves the right to reschedule a walk if conditions make it inadvisable to proceed.

  Participants are responsible for their own health, fitness, and appropriate footwear and clothing for the conditions.

  Shrine sites visited during walks are public sacred spaces. Participants are expected to behave in a manner consistent with the etiquette explained by the guide.

  Group sizes are kept deliberately small. Horizon Forge Panel may decline a booking if a group size is unsuitable for the intended walk.

3. Bookings and cancellations

Walks are booked by submitting an enquiry and receiving confirmation by email. A booking is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation from Horizon Forge Panel.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as possible. Late cancellations may not be eligible for a full refund, depending on the circumstances. Horizon Forge Panel will always aim to find a suitable alternative date where possible.

If Horizon Forge Panel cancels a walk due to weather, guide illness, or circumstances beyond our control, a full refund or reschedule will be offered.

4. Service availability and modifications

Walk offerings, pricing, and scheduling are subject to change. The information shown on this website reflects current availability but may be updated at any time. Horizon Forge Panel is not obliged to maintain any particular walk or service indefinitely.

Geographic access to certain shrine areas may be subject to seasonal restrictions or changes outside Horizon Forge Panel's control. In such cases, a comparable alternative will be offered wherever possible.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, images, layout, and descriptive materials about the walks — is owned by or licensed to Horizon Forge Panel and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, adapt, or distribute any content from this site for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Sharing links to individual pages for personal, non-commercial use is permitted.
